PRESS RELEASE – August 19, 2022
It was recently announced that SI is acquiring the Tyresö-based proptech company OSG. The company currently has nearly 30 employees and is one of Sweden's leading companies when it comes to superior and independent systems that connect all types of applications that fit in a property. The acquisition strengthens SI's position in Sweden and its local roots in the Stockholm area.
– Our vision is to create the sustainable and climate-smart properties of the future, and then it is absolutely crucial that everything from management systems and various project systems to alarms, lighting, heating, and ventilation work together, says Bjarne Johansson, technical manager at SI. OSG's cutting-edge expertise in superior systems is an important part of enabling the entire SI to take another big step for our customers.
EXPERTS IN SUPERIOR SYSTEMS
OSG has a number of renowned references when it comes to higher-level systems, visualization and business-useful applications. They have expertise in Citect, iFIX and Atvise. OSG also offers its own open and customized system solutions. They currently work with everything from SL's metro system to arenas such as Tele2 and Avicii Arena as well as a number of larger municipalities and regions throughout Sweden.
TWO LOCAL OFFICES IN STOCKHOLM
SI is currently in the process of opening a new office in central Stockholm, which means that one of Sweden's fastest-growing proptech companies will soon have two local offices in the Stockholm area.
– Today we have a lot of customers in Stockholm and a goal for both us and OSG is to always be close at hand. This is so that together with the customer we can create long-term sustainable properties over time, says Bjarne Johansson. Our working methods and cultures simply fit together very well.
AN INDUSTRY IN CHANGE
The real estate industry is currently undergoing significant change and the demands for integration of different management systems are rapidly increasing. Many property owners are now looking for energy-efficient digital solutions for visualizing and managing large and diverse portfolios. This development has also been accentuated by rising energy prices.
– In the near future, significantly higher requirements will be introduced regarding climate-impacting emissions for properties, and then it is important to have an infrastructure in place that can meet the requirements, says Mikael Bengs, CEO of OSG. Together with SI, we now have a broader offering for both existing and new customers, carried out by some of the country's leading specialists in each discipline. It feels awesome.
The acquisition of OSG was announced on August 17, 2022.
