One of our most sophisticated automation systems for water purification can be found in Fjärås in Kungsbacka Municipality. To the landmark Fjärås bräcka, millions of liters of water are led up from Lake Lygnern to Bräckan to utilize the purifying powers of the old pebble ridge. The water is filtered and purified to almost 100% naturally through the bräcka's gravel and clay layer, and is then delivered as one of Sweden's tastiest and most prized drinking water to Kungsbacka Municipality's 70,000 households.

Fjärås Bräcka is a mighty ice ridge formation that rises 60 meters above Lake Lygnern. This enormous gravel and moraine embankment was formed at the end of the last ice age and is today a nature reserve with nice hiking trails. It is also home to the waterworks, which uses the laws of nature to purify the water supplied to the residents of Kungsbacka.
