Innovative climate control and energy efficiency at Kineum

In the heart of Kineum, one of Gothenburg's most exciting properties, advanced technology and modern design meet to create an environment that is as comfortable as it is energy efficient. The project, in which SI has been involved since 2017, has provided Kineum with groundbreaking solutions in ventilation, heating and climate adaptation.

Kineum houses a hotel, spa, offices, conference rooms and restaurants – all with unique needs. To meet these requirements, SI has installed three technical spaces that handle ventilation and air conditioning systems throughout the building.

“By using smart modules that talk to each other, we can optimize airflow and temperature on each floor – all to create the most comfortable climate possible,” says Stefan Bengtsson, Project Manager at SI.

The result? A facility where the climate is constantly adapted to needs.
Martin Eriksson, property operations, at Jacy'z Hotel & Resort tells how SI's technology makes a difference.
“Ventilation is automatically adjusted depending on whether a room is full or empty, whether people are moving around in the room or sitting still, which allows us to maintain perfect comfort for our guests without unnecessary energy consumption.”

One of the most appreciated features is how quickly the system responds to changes.
“If we want it cooler or warmer in a certain area, we can adjust it and get results almost immediately,” says Niklas Jansson, Head of Operations at Jacy'z Hotel & Resort.

To complement the modern design, wireless sensors have been discreetly installed throughout the building. Everything is monitored via the Arrigo SCADA system, which provides a complete overview of temperature and airflow in real time – providing peace of mind for both staff and property owners.
With Kineum, SI shows that the properties of the future are not only about style, but also about sustainability and efficient energy management.
