Overall, we at SI are specialists in energy efficiency and automation for all types of properties and facilities where our best results are achieved when we work TOGETHER.
We are looking for an automation engineer who wants to help develop smart technical solutions in the water and wastewater sector and industrial automation.
About the role
As an automation engineer, you will work on programming control systems and HMIs, primarily in the field of PLC/DUC – for example, Regin, Mitsubishi, Siemens or ABB. You’ll be involved every step of the way, from development to commissioning, which means you’ll work both in the office and on-site at the client’s premises for commissioning and testing when projects require it.
You will also work with Scada systems in the higher-level environment, where you contribute to creating smart and user-friendly interfaces for control and monitoring.
It is our programmers who bring our technical solutions to life, ensuring operational safety and reliability in water and wastewater and industrial processes. You have strong expertise in PLC/HMI programming and will be part of a fantastic team of driven and dedicated colleagues.
It is an advantage if you have a good knowledge of the process industry or water and wastewater processes, as this provides a broader understanding of the overall picture in our projects.
We are looking for you as
- Has experience of PLC/DUC and HMI programming (for example, Regin, Mitsubishi, Siemens, ABB or equivalent).
- Experience of SCADA systems such as Cactus Eye or Ignition would be an advantage.
- Has a good understanding of automation systems and technical installations.
- Advantage if you have knowledge in IT/networking.
- Has a strong personal drive and works in a structured manner - with the ability to take personal responsibility and work independently during certain project phases.
- Is humble, down to earth and solution-focused.
We offer:
- A varied and developing role with great technical breadth.
- The opportunity to work on both programming and deployment.
- A committed team with high competence and a strong team spirit.

- A workplace that contributes to a more sustainable and energy-efficient future.
