What is HMI?

HMI

HMI stands for Human-Machine Interface.

It is a display or control panel that makes it possible to communicate with and control a machine, system or industrial process. The terms HMI and SCADA are related but they are not the same thing.
HMI is the user interface, a screen or control panel that the user interacts with. SCADA is the overall control system that collects and manages data from the entire facility. In other words, the HMI is part of the SCADA system and the interface for interacting with the SCADA system and visualizing the data.
