Unpredictability is the industry’s biggest problem.
Vehicles arriving too early, too late or completely unannounced. Gates that are empty one moment and overloaded the next. This is everyday life at many warehouses and terminals. At Logistik & Transport, SI Logiware is launching version 4.0, and product owner Hampus Näckborn hopes that visitors” first reaction will be: ”Was it really that simple?”
Area between the gate and the loading bay
– “I listen to customers and the market, set priorities and ensure that what we develop creates value for all our customers. It mustn’t end up being a solution for just one of them,” he says.
For anyone who has never heard of Logiware, the explanation is simple. The system keeps track of everything that happens between the gate and the loading bay.
– We can see which lorries are on their way in, where they’re parked in the yard, which gate is free and when the next loading is due to start. The haulier books a slot, the driver checks in themselves, and the facility can monitor the entire flow in real time.
The result is shorter queues, fewer phone calls and more efficient use of gates.
That’s how Hampus describes Logiware 4.0 in three words. The team has been working intensively on the release all year, and the launch is now drawing near.
– It’s exciting. It’ll be great fun to show what the team has built.
Why is 4.0 such a big deal? The answer lies in the fundamentals. For a long time, the team has wanted to offer customers a wider range of features, but has been limited by the way the product was built.
– With 4.0, we can broaden our offering and help more logistics operators with their day-to-day challenges. We are also better equipped to seize future opportunities.
The work began with some sketches at the turn of the year. The biggest challenge has been keeping up with the rapid technological developments currently taking place.
Based on our customers’ everyday lives
Customers have played a major role in shaping the product. They have shared their problems, something Hampus describes as invaluable. However, not all their requests have been incorporated straight away.
– We haven’t simply built a solution tailored to each individual customer, but have looked for commonalities across many of them; in this way, we haven’t created a product unique to each customer, but rather a comprehensive solution where customers can benefit from each other’s input and solutions.
Logiware 4.0 is powerful, scalable and easy to use.
Hampus Näckborn
Product Manager, SI Logiware
According to Hampus, unpredictability is the biggest problem facing warehousing and transport companies today.
– Cars arrive too early, too late or without any prior notice, and the gates are empty one moment and overcrowded the next. What’s more, much of the information is still stored on mobile phones, in emails and on Post-it notes.
Moving forward, the industry needs two things: for everyone to see the same picture in real time, and for more to be handled via self-service.
– If the carrier, the driver and the facility all have the same information, and bookings, check-ins and notifications are handled automatically, staff can devote their time to dealing with any actual discrepancies.
That is why version 4.0 is being launched at the trade fair
Why not just release the new version? Because the team wants to meet people.
– Logiware is best understood when you see it in action. At the trade fair, we can demonstrate it in real life and get immediate feedback from people.
And the aim is clear.
– Once visitors have seen the whole process, I hope they’ll say, ”Was it really that simple?”. Then we’ll have succeeded.
Would you like to see just how straightforward the workflow can be? Come and visit us at stand C03:02 at Logistik & Transport 2026 at the Svenska Mässan exhibition centre in Gothenburg. There, Hampus and the Logiware team will be demonstrating Logiware 4.0 and will be happy to discuss the challenges specific to your facility.
