Skövde-based family business Lorentzons
Control generational shifts and at the same time become part of the SI family!
Recently it became clear that Lorentzons Styr AB in Skövde will become part of SI. At the same time, a generational change is taking place, with three siblings who are already active in the business joining as partners.
– I proudly take over the baton together with our competent employees and my siblings, Rickard and Fredrik. We look forward to building on our journey with SI with a focus on energy-smart properties, says Alexandra Heder, CEO of Lorentzons Styr.
SI and Lorentzons Styr aim to develop the offering to their customers throughout Skaraborg and take advantage of all the ways in which they complement each other. For example, both companies have a strong focus on energy and operational services, and here Lorentzons Styr has developed the StyrDirigenten concept, where they innovatively take overall responsibility for energy use and guarantee energy savings.
– For the SI group, it was also strategically important to strengthen our presence in Skövde and Skaraborg. And now we are really doing it! It is not just any company that can say, among many other things, that they have won the Skövde Municipality Environmental Award, says Mikael Norlander, CEO of SI.
SECURING FOR THE FUTURE
Today, SI already has two local offices in the region and many exciting projects are on the way. Lorentzon's Board, with its nearly 25 employees, will be able to strengthen SI in this work, while SI hopes to be able to do the same for Lorentzon's customers.
– Now we can put together even better teams of skills for each unique project. We are in this together and it is always the customer's delivery that is in focus – regardless of whether Lorentzons Styr or SI in Skaraborg is the main responsible for the project, says Mikael Norlander, CEO of SI.
When it came to securing the future of the family business Lorentzons Styr, high demands were placed on a new main owner, both in terms of development opportunities and values.
– We were looking for a larger context where we recognized our visions, values and business ideas, says former main owner Arne Lorentzon, who will remain working during a transition period and continue to be a member of the board.
Anne-Marie Heder, also a former principal owner, adds:
– Arne and I have run Lorentzons Styr together with our competent employees and developed it into a successful company that has created trust among both customers and suppliers. It has been a fantastically fun journey, says Anne-Marie Heder.
STRONGER TOGETHER
Anne-Marie and Arne felt it was time to hand over the baton to the next generation and were looking for a buyer with a business focus and corporate culture that aligned with Lorentzons Styr's values.
The real estate industry is currently undergoing major change with new and high demands on energy-smart solutions. Many property owners are currently looking for energy-efficient and digital solutions for visualization and control that save energy.
– There is a great demand for both knowledge and solutions that ensure energy-efficient properties. This also increases the demands to keep up and be innovative in the rapid technological development that prevails. Here we become stronger together with SI. We complement each other technically, which creates an even stronger offering to our mutual customers and we also open up opportunities for exciting collaborations among our staff, says Alexandra Heder, CEO at Lorentzons Styr.
The acquisition of Lorentzons Styr AB was announced on March 28, 2023.
